The award-winning native of Pratt, West Virginia took over as head of the news division of 58 WCHS in August of 2000. Prior to that the 1987 graduate of West Virginia University's Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism served as news director at WAJR in Morgantown.
In addition to directing the news operation for both WCHS-AM and the MetroNews Radio Network, Jeff serves as chief capital correspondent. His unbelievable work ethic and drive provides listeners with unparalleled coverage of state government.
A 17-year veteran of West Virginia Radio Corporation, Jeff began his tenure with the company as an intern while still attending West Virginia University. A former student manager for the West Virginia University football team continues his involvement with the Mountaineers by serving as director of football broadcasts on the Mountaineer Sports Network.
In addition to using his voice for broadcasting news, Jeff also is an accomplished singer and leads the congregational singing at Spring Hill Baptist Church in South Charleston.
Jeff and his wife Jackie have three children, Caleb, Tommy, and Stephen.
