MICHAEL AGNELLO: 58 Live Co-Host

One of the voices you’ll hear in the afternoon on 58 WCHS became a West Virginian some 15 years ago.  In his own words “I am a volunteer Mountaineer.”  Mike was born in Chicago, but in 1976 moved to central Illinois, becoming part of Team Thrust for the Nations.  There, he was responsible for operations, training, and taking teams of people into troubled areas all over the country.   Team Thrust was a Helps organization dealing with drug abuse, alcoholism, homelessness and other problems.  Serving as vice-president of Team Thrust, gave Mike many opportunities to be a guest on various radio and television programs.  This exposure eventually led to hosting his own radio and television programs.  In recent years he has been living in Charleston and involved in his community at many levels.

Mike has worked as a Certified Senior Advisor and has recently served on Governor Joe Manchin’s transition team on Senior Issues.  He has received the Golden Apple Broadcaster of the Year Award from the West Virginia Education Association and continues to be a highly sought speaker and presenter for various organizations and events.
