ADAM MARCO: 58 WCHS Time Saver Traffic
Mornings and afternoons you’ll hear Adam Marco bringing you the very latest traffic information on 58-WCHS.
Originally from the Pittsburgh area, I've moved around a bit over than few years before finding myself here in Charleston. I grew up close enough to the city to say I'm from there, but not close enough to speak a constant "Pittsburgh-ese." I can do it if I have to though, especially when I'm trying to get a sandwich at Primanti's...
I went to a small school in Erie, Pa and then lived in that region on and off for six more years. I spent a little time working for a country music station, then a sports-talk station, then a classic rock station... and then I left all that for Williamsport, PA: Home of the Little League World Series and the Williamsport Crosscutters Baseball Team. I was an intern... a very old intern (kind of like Chandler on Friends) comparatively speaking.
After the season ended, I found myself in Charleston with my girlfriend of seven years. She found a job here after law school, so I followed. We have two cats, love movies, and enjoy the actual theater, too. We met while doing a children's show together. I was Grandpa Joe and she was Veruca Salt in a version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
I'm sports nut of the nth degree, following virtually everything, playing a few, and even enjoying a few sports-related video games when no one is looking. Baseball is a passion (Pirates and Red Sox), but I'm also a Steelers, Penguins, Cavaliers, and Manchester United fan.
Music has been a major part of my life, and my tastes are an eclectic as it gets. Country to jazz to hip hop to classic rock. I enjoy it all... Everything except Yanni... Random sounds may be music, but not to my ears. I also enjoy a great comedy cd while driving. Jerry Seinfeld, Dane Cook, and Chris Rock are among my favorites. Who doesn't love a good laugh?
It is my pleasure to be a part of your day, whether its when your day gets started with Chris and Jennie, or at the end of your day with Rick and Mike. Take care... and drive safely.
